Health & Safety Regulations

Total Interiors Direct appreciates there are many implications for Health and Safety requirements before, throughout, and after every contract.

Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations apply to all construction projects, instigated by the European Union. The regulations impose responsibilities upon both contractor and client and are policed by the Health and Safety Executive. We are fully aware of the responsibilities imposed by CDM regulations and ensure our clients know of their meaning and employment at all times.

We are fully conversant in the production of risk assessments and safe method statements for all works carried out and in the preparation of a construction phase health and safety file when acting as main contractor where works are notifiable under the CDM regulations. On completion of notifiable projects all files are issued both electronically and in hard copy as standard.

During site works all proper procedures are observed to ensure the safety of the workforce and anybody else who may be at risk. Where legislated safety standards apply, we follow them rigorously as a matter of course.

In view of ongoing Health and Safety requirements and changes in legislation, we have employed a third party consultant to advise on all aspects of Health and Safety legislation and law.
